At St. Bernard's Church in Brooklyn, this unique statue of the Blessed Mary has a special home in a gorgeous trellised arber. The statue is made of small sections of cast metal which were then welded together. (You can detect weld seams under the chin and down the throat, as well as on the underside of the sleeves.) She was almost invisible in her grey, unpainted state, but now she shares the spotlight with many brides who ask to have their photos taken with her.
